The congressman has come under renewed scrutiny over his inflammatory remarks about immigration and race, and his association with white nationalist figures.
The New York Times issued a correction on Saturday updating a report to call his remarks “racist” instead of “racially tinged.”
He is currently engaged in an unexpectedly close race with Democrat J.D. Scholten, after a number of companies announced that they will now longer contribute to King’s campaign.
